PostVito charges credits for exactly one thing: generating and editing AI images. Everything else — captions, whole content packs, approvals, publishing and reporting — is included free on every plan. Once you know that, the credit system is simple.
What spends credits
- Generating an AI image — in the Library, in the image studio, or from a post inside the pack editor.
- Editing an AI image — regenerating, background removal, generative fill, outpainting.
- Building a carousel deck, since each slide is a generated image.
Every one of those actions is something you choose to do after a pack exists. If you attach an image the client already owns, or upload your own, it costs nothing.
What’s included (no credits)
- Generating captions and whole content packs — generation writes text only, so a pack costs nothing until you add visuals to it.
- Sending a pack for approval and the client approval portal. (Putting your branding on that portal is a Pro / Business feature.)
- Publishing to every connected channel. (Scheduling for a future date is available on Starter and above.)
- Per-client analytics and PDF reports. (White-label branding on the PDF is Pro / Business.)
Monthly grants
Each plan grants a pot of image credits at the start of every billing cycle:
- Free — 50
- Starter — 150
- Pro — 500
- Business — 1,500
Monthly credits don’t roll over. Whatever you don’t use by the end of the cycle resets — you start each month at your plan’s grant, not higher.
Top-up packs
Need more than your monthly grant? Buy a top-up pack from the billing page at any time. Purchased credits never expire — they sit in your balance until you spend them, cycle after cycle.
Spend order
Image operations draw from your monthly grant first, so your never-expiring purchased credits stay as a reserve rather than getting burned before the “use it or lose it” ones.
Note: Because generation is free and only visuals cost, your credit burn tracks how image-heavy your packs are, not how many packs you generate. If you run several clients on a weekly cadence and build carousels for all of them, watch the balance mid-cycle and buy a top-up rather than waiting for the reset.
