A brand kit is the profile PostVito uses to make what it writes sound like the client rather than like a generic AI. It lives on the client’s Brand profile tab, and every caption generated for that client is shaped by it — so it’s worth keeping accurate.
What’s in a kit
- Logo and brand colour — used on carousels and on every client-facing surface.
- Tone of voice — how the client speaks: vocabulary, rhythm, what they’d never say. The single biggest lever on caption quality.
- What they do and Target audience — who they serve and what they sell.
- Content pillars — the recurring themes generation writes around. This is what decides what the content is about.
- Services / offers, Areas served, Local-search keywords, Preferred CTAs and Words to avoid — the guardrails.
- Industry, Location and free-text Notes — the context that colours everything else.
How it drives generation
When you generate a content pack, PostVito feeds the whole profile to the model. The tone of voice tilts the captions and the content pillars decide the topics. A vague profile produces vague, off-brand copy; a specific one produces packs you barely need to edit.
Generation produces text only — captions, hashtags, calls to action, short-video scripts and carousel outlines. The logo and colours come into play when you add the visuals: build a carousel from a post’s slide outline, or generate an image, and both pick up the client’s palette and mark automatically.
Auto-enrichment
When you add a client you search for the business and pick it from a list; choosing the right match is what triggers enrichment. PostVito then reads that listing and its website and drafts the profile. Treat it as a first pass — it’s good at logos and colours and only okay at tone of voice, because tone rarely lives on a homepage. Read the voice field carefully and rewrite it in your own words if it’s generic.
Editing the kit
Open the client and edit any field at any time. Good habits:
- Write tone of voice as instructions, not adjectives: “short sentences, dry humour, never uses exclamation marks” beats “fun and engaging”.
- Keep content pillars specific — “single-origin sourcing, roast profiles, café partners” generates sharper content than “coffee”.
- Fill in Words to avoid. It’s the fastest way to stop a recurring phrase you keep having to delete by hand.
- Re-upload the logo as a clean transparent PNG if the enriched one looks rough on carousels.
Note: Changing the brand profile only affects packs generated after the change. Existing drafts keep the copy they were built with — regenerate them if you want the new profile applied.
