PostVito publishes to your clients’ social accounts, not a shared agency account. Each client has their own set of connected channels, managed from their client page under Channels.
Supported platforms
You can connect:
- Facebook and Instagram (business or creator accounts)
- X
- LinkedIn (personal or company page)
- TikTok (business or creator — personal accounts can’t publish via API)
- YouTube
- Threads
- Bluesky
- Google Business
Connecting a channel
- Open the client, go to Channels, and click Connect next to the platform.
- You’re redirected to that platform’s sign-in and permission screen.
- Authorise with the client’s account — not your agency’s.
- Pick the specific page, profile, board or location if the platform offers a choice (a Facebook Page, an IG business account, a Google Business location).
Bluesky is different — it doesn’t use an OAuth redirect and isn’t in the connect picker. Scroll to the Bluesky form on the Channels tab and enter the client’s handle plus an app password generated in their Bluesky settings.
The safest way to do the OAuth platforms is on a call or screen-share with the client, or by asking them to complete the sign-in step while you watch. If you authorise with the wrong account, disconnect and reconnect with the right one.
Two things worth knowing
Connected accounts are counted across your whole roster, not per client: 1 on Free, 5 on Starter, 15 on Pro and 50 on Business.
And a client needs at least one live connected channel before you can generate a pack for them — until then the New content pack button stays greyed out with a prompt to connect a channel first.
Only connected channels can receive posts
When you generate or schedule a content pack, PostVito only lets you target channels the client has actually connected. If a platform is missing from the options, it isn’t connected yet — go back to the Channels tab.
Two channels are also format-restricted: TikTok accepts video only, and Google Business accepts images only. A post whose media doesn’t match simply can’t target that channel.
Reconnecting
Access tokens expire over time, and platforms occasionally invalidate them when a password changes or an app permission is revoked. A channel that needs attention shows a Reconnect prompt. Reconnecting is the same flow as the first connect and doesn’t affect anything already published — but note that it does not resurrect posts that already failed. Those need re-scheduling from the client’s pack.
Note: Platform quirks matter. TikTok needs a business or creator account, Instagram needs a business or creator account linked to a Facebook Page, and Google Business needs you to select the correct location. When a connect fails, it’s almost always the account type or the wrong login. Pinterest can be connected today, but the content-pack generator doesn’t yet offer it as a target platform — connect it for reporting and plan Pinterest content manually for now.
