Prospecting turns PostVito from a delivery tool into a growth tool. You can find businesses to pitch, show them a snapshot of what’s missing from their current content, and reach out — all without leaving the app.
Prospecting is available on Pro and Business. On Free and Starter the Prospects destination is locked.
Finding prospects
Open Prospects in the left rail and search for the kind of business you want to pitch — a trade or category plus a town works well. PostVito returns matching businesses; save the promising ones as prospects and they enter a status pipeline you can work through. From a saved prospect you can call them, email them, send a ready-drafted proposal, or convert them straight into a client when they say yes.
Running a content audit
For a prospect, run a mini content audit. It produces a snapshot you can lead a pitch with:
- Opportunity score — a single read on how much upside there is in their content.
- Gaps — where their current output is thin or missing: cadence, formats, platforms they’re ignoring.
- Social snapshot — a look at their current presence across channels.
The audit gives you something concrete to open a conversation with. Instead of “we do social media”, you can say “you post twice a month, you’re not on the one platform your audience lives on, and here’s the opportunity score to prove it”.
Sending outreach
You can send cold outreach to a prospect from within PostVito. To send from your own verified domain — so the email comes from you, not a generic address — set up and verify a sending domain first under Settings → White-label. If a verified domain isn’t configured, PostVito falls back to a mailto handoff so you can send from your own client.
Replies land in the Email tab of the Inbox, so a prospect thread stays in one place. Outreach is built to be safe: sending is rate-limited, prospects who opt out are suppressed, and every message carries a one-click unsubscribe. Keep it genuinely relevant — lead with the audit, not a generic template.
Note: A content audit is your strongest opener because it’s specific to the prospect. Reference the opportunity score and the gaps in your first message rather than a canned pitch — a prospect who sees you’ve actually looked at their content is far more likely to reply.
