Storage allowances and file expiry

What counts towards storage, when files are removed, and how to free up space.

Your allowance

Each plan includes total storage: Solo 50 GB, Studio 250 GB, Agency 1 TB. The free trial includes 5 GB. A single file can be up to 20 GB.

Everything you keep counts — every version of every file. The meter at the bottom of the sidebar, and the Files page, show what you're using. Files lists everything largest first, with when each file will be removed.

When files are removed

A file that's in a review link your client can still open, or in a handover link that's still live, is never deleted until that link has been decided, revoked or has expired.

When your plan or trial ends

Your workspace becomes read-only and your files are kept for 60 days. We email you when access ends, 30 days before deletion and 7 days before, and the date is shown at the top of every page. Choose a plan at any time in those 60 days and nothing is lost.

After 60 days the stored files are deleted. Your projects, file names, versions, comments, decisions and approval records stay, and approval record PDFs still download. Review and handover links already with clients keep working until they expire, and the files in them are kept until then.

Access ends when your paid period is over, not when you cancel: cancelling keeps your plan until the end of the period you've paid for. If a payment fails, everything keeps working for 7 days while you update your card.

Your portfolio

Your public portfolio has its own storage allowance and doesn't count towards the figures above. See Your public portfolio.

Running out of room

If an upload would take you over your allowance, it's stopped before it starts. Delete files you no longer need, wait for approved files to expire, or move to a bigger plan in Settings → Billing.
